Acting on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council and Arc Partnership, heb has completed the sale of a 7.5-acre site at Radcliffe-on-Trent.
“The Paddocks” is situated at the junction of the A52, Lees Barn Road and Nottingham Road, next to the RSPCA Animal Welfare Centre, and has consent for 75 new dwellings.
Following a competitive tender on behalf of the County Council, the site has been secured in partnership by Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) and well-regarded, locally based developer MyPad, who will construct and deliver the homes for NCHA.
“We were delighted to secure satisfactory disposal on behalf of Arc Partnership, who managed the planning and sale process for the County Council,” said Robert Maxey, partner at heb Chartered Surveyors. “It is always gratifying to assist in delivering new homes in the Nottingham area, and both MyPad and NCHA brought a refreshingly straightforward approach to the transaction.”
“The purchase of this land in Radcliffe-on-Trent highlights our continued commitment to tackling the housing crisis. As one of the largest housing associations in the region, we’re focused on increasing access to high-quality, affordable housing that meets local need.
“Of the 75 homes, 50 will be available for social rent, with a further 25 homes offered for sale through shared ownership, supporting people to access affordable home ownership. Working in partnership with MyPad and Nottinghamshire County Council enables us to create sustainable communities and deliver long-term social value,” commented Claudine Edwards, New Business and Development Manager at NCHA.
“We’re delighted to have completed on this transaction at Nottingham Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, in partnership with NCHA, to deliver 75 much-needed affordable homes directly addressing affordable housing need across Rushcliffe Borough.
“Work is already underway on the Reserved Matters Application, which we anticipate submitting in the coming months.
“We’d like to thank Nottinghamshire County Council for their pragmatic approach throughout, and heb Chartered Surveyors for their continued professionalism from the outset right up to the point of completion,” added David Prowse, Head of Land at MyPad.
