Suspect charged after charity box thefts in Beeston

A suspect is due to appear in court after charity collection boxes were stolen from a mosque and a supermarket in Beeston.

Officers were alerted when the boxes were taken from the mosque in Victory Road on 21 March this year and the supermarket at about 8.15am on 23 March.

Jorge Inacio, aged 51, has was charged on 12 April with two counts of theft.

Inacio, of Abbey Road, Beeston, has been released on bail and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday 1 May.
