Police are seeking the public’s help after a newly installed plaque was vandalised at a park in Retford.
Reports came in that the plaque had been pulled from the ground, then thrown into a nearby fountain in Kings Park.
The incident happened around 9.20pm on 24 April.
Investigating officers have now released an image of a person they’d like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Sergeant Joseph Krawiecki, of the East Bassetlaw neighbourhood policing team, said:
“This plaque and associated sculpture were both installed thanks to the work of local organisations, so visitors can pause, reflect, and enjoy their local park.
“This damage, though, has understandably caused upset in the community, as well as a significant financial cost to repair it.
“To this end, we are determined to track down whoever was responsible.
“Do you recognise the person in the image? Are you the person in the image? Please get in touch immediately.
“Anyone with any information can call 101, quoting incident number 26*237415, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
