Police want to speak to this man following reports that a customer assaulted a shopworker.
The incident happened inside Tesco Express, on South Parade, Nottingham city centre, at around 8.45 pm on 1 June.
A customer reportedly entered the store before shouting abuse at a member of staff and acting aggressively.
The same individual also reportedly picked up a basket and threw it at a shopworker, hitting them in the process, before leaving the store.
An investigation has been underway to locate the customer since the incident, with officers now able to release these pictures of someone they want to question.
PC Lindsey Webster, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The staff member was just doing his job when he became the target of, firstly, verbal and then physical abuse.
“Put simply, this type of behaviour is unacceptable, so we are naturally keen to track down the unknown customer in question as soon as possible.

“On that note, we want to speak to the man featured in these images and ask him a few questions about what happened.
“We’re therefore appealing to anyone who recognises him—and indeed the man himself—to contact the police and let us know who he is, so that he can assist our enquiries.”
