Nottinghamshire weather for Thursday 16 July

Thursday 16 July is forecast to be dry, sunny and warm, with temperatures rising steadily through the day and reaching around 27C during the afternoon.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout.

Early morning

Thursday will begin dry with some cloud around at first, before brighter spells develop. Temperatures are expected to be around 14C at 6am, rising to 15C by 7am and 16C by 8am.

Winds will come from the north-east at around 5mph, with gusts of about 15mph. Visibility will be good early on, becoming very good from around 8am.

Humidity will be high at the start of the day, around 85% at 6am and 7am, before gradually easing. Rain is not expected, with the chance of precipitation staying below 5%.

Midday

Conditions will become warmer and brighter through the late morning and into lunchtime, with sunny spells and dry weather continuing.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 19C at 10am to 21C by 11am and 23C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be broadly similar, around 19C to 23C.

Winds will remain light, mainly from the north-east at around 4mph to 5mph, with gusts around 16mph. Visibility will remain very good.

Humidity will fall to around 52% by midday. UV levels will become high, reaching 6 by 11am and 7 at midday, so sun protection is advisable for anyone spending time outdoors.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be warm, dry and mostly sunny, with some cloud around at times. Temperatures are forecast to reach 25C by 1pm, 26C by 2pm and around 27C by 3pm and 4pm.

The “feels like” temperature will also be around 25C to 27C during the afternoon. Winds will stay light, mainly from the north-east, at around 3mph to 4mph, before turning slightly east-north-easterly later.

Gusts are expected to be around 13mph to 16mph. Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will fall to around 36% to 40%. UV levels will remain high in the early afternoon, around 7, before easing later.

Evening

The evening will stay dry and warm, with sunshine continuing into the early evening before clear spells develop later.

Temperatures are expected to be around 27C at 5pm and 6pm, before falling to 25C by 7pm and 24C by 8pm. It will turn cooler later, dropping to 21C by 9pm, 19C by 10pm and 17C by 11pm.

Winds will come from the north-east, east-north-east or east at around 5mph to 7mph, with gusts easing from around 20mph early in the evening to around 12mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise through the evening, from around 35% at 5pm to 72% by 11pm. The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout.
