Rushcliffe roadworks: closures and temporary traffic lights for 14 – 20 September

A road closure in Keyworth and temporary traffic lights across Rushcliffe are scheduled to affect journeys during the week beginning Monday 14 September.

Via East Midlands bulletins issued between 7 and 11 September include sewer repairs, gas main replacement, telecoms work and carriageway repairs.

The following list covers works in those notices which overlap Monday 14 to Sunday 20 September. It includes revised dates and schemes already under way.

Debdale Lane and Nottingham Road, Keyworth

Sewer repairs will continue to affect both roads until Friday 18 September.

Debdale Lane is closed from its junction with Nottingham Road for 30 metres west. The closure remains in place around the clock and is scheduled to end at 4pm on Friday. Drivers should follow the diversion signed on site.

Two-way temporary traffic lights at the Nottingham Road junction with Debdale Lane will remain in operation 24 hours a day until 5pm on Friday. They will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm daily.

Severn Trent Water is repairing a damaged sewer pipe. Both restrictions began on 7 September and have been extended.

Station Road, Plumtree

Two-way temporary traffic lights will operate from 9am to 3pm on Monday 14 September for carriageway repairs by Via.

The works are about 410 metres south of the junction with Bradmore Lane. The road will be clear of the restrictions outside those hours.

Leake Road, Gotham

Telecoms work is scheduled to finish on Monday 14 September.

Rolling two-way traffic lights will operate between 9.30am and 3.30pm, with manual control throughout. The affected stretch runs from the Gypsum Way junction for 835 metres south.

Comex is clearing blockages on the telecoms network on behalf of Virgin Media. The work began on 10 September.

Main Street, Cropwell Butler

Two-way temporary traffic lights will remain in place around the clock until 4pm on Wednesday 16 September.

The works are 55 metres north of the junction with Carpenters Close, where Severn Trent Water is clearing a blockage in a sewer pipe.

The restrictions began on Thursday 10 September.

Main Street, Zouch

Three-way temporary traffic lights are scheduled at the junction with Moor Lane from 8am on Tuesday 15 September until 5pm on Thursday 17 September.

MJ Quinn will install a new BT cabinet. The signals will operate only while work is taking place, with the road clear at other times.

Bingham Road, Cotgrave

Four-way temporary traffic lights will operate from 8am to 5pm on Wednesday 16 September, about 50 metres east of the junction with East Acres.

Severn Trent Water will replace a damaged frame and cover. The signals will be manually controlled throughout, with the road clear outside the working hours.

Cropwell Road, Langar

Rolling two-way temporary traffic lights will operate between 8am and 5pm daily from Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 September.

City Fibre will carry out telecoms work between the junctions with Musters Road and Langar Lane.

The road will be clear of the restrictions outside the daily working hours.

Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop

Gas main replacement work will begin at 7.30am on Wednesday 16 September at the junction with Hoe View Road.

Multi-way temporary traffic lights will operate around the clock. Cadent Gas expects the works to continue until 6pm on Monday 28 September, meaning the restrictions will also affect the weekend of 19 and 20 September.

The latest bulletin brings the start date forward from 21 September.

Tollerton Lane, Tollerton

Three-way temporary traffic lights are scheduled at the junction with Medina Drive between 9am and 3.30pm on Friday 18 September.

Morrisons, working on behalf of BT, will install a new pole. The lights will operate only while work is taking place, with the road clear at other times.
