Nottinghamshire weather – Friday 18 September

Friday is expected to be mostly dry and rather cloudy, with some brighter spells during the morning and early afternoon.

Temperatures should reach around 19C, but it will feel breezy, with south-westerly winds and gusts above 30mph at times.

Early morning is largely dry, with a less than 5% chance of rain from 6am through to midday. Temperatures start at around 11C at 6am and 7am, rising to 14C by 10am and 17C by midday. Winds are from the west-south-west at around 6mph to 9mph, with gusts increasing from 17mph to 28mph.

By midday and early afternoon, conditions remain mostly dry and cloudy with some brighter intervals. Temperatures reach 18C at 1pm and 19C at 2pm and 3pm. The chance of rain stays low until early afternoon, then increases to around 20% at 2pm and 40% by 3pm and 4pm. Winds remain west-south-westerly to south-westerly at around 10mph, with gusts peaking around 31mph to 32mph.

During the afternoon, temperatures ease slightly from 19C to 18C by 4pm. Cloud thickens at times, with a 40% chance of rain around 4pm and 5pm, easing to 30% by 6pm and 20% by 7pm.

Into the evening, it stays cloudy but generally becomes drier. Temperatures hold around 17C early in the evening, then settle at 16C from 7pm onwards. The chance of rain falls from 40% at 5pm to 30% at 6pm, 20% through the early evening, 10% by 10pm and below 5% by 11pm. Winds stay south-westerly at around 9mph to 10mph, with gusts remaining close to 29mph to 30mph.
