The play area at The Hook in Lady Bay is to undergo a refurbishment costing more than £100,000, with work expected to begin at the end of November.
Rushcliffe Borough Council says the improvements should be completed by the Christmas holidays, weather permitting.
Contractor Proludic Limited will install 14 new pieces of equipment at the West Bridgford playground, while retaining several popular existing items.
The additions will include a large climbing and play unit with a slide, a four-metre-high climbing net and a new Maxi slide.

An accessible roundabout for wheelchair users, swings with inclusive seating, a parent-and-toddler swing and an inclusive play vehicle will also be installed.
Other features will include spring-mounted play equipment, a sensory play panel, an outdoor musical feature called a symphony bell bouquet, and colourful playground markings and games.
Cllr Jonathan Wheeler, the council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Leisure & Wellbeing, said: “We know how popular this site, along with the adjacent skate park and basketball court, is with local people.
“This project builds on Rushcliffe Borough Council’s £1 million investment in parks and open spaces across the Borough since 2021 and I look forward to coming back and seeing the new improvements.”
