The year group has been sent homer to self-isolate until 6 October.
The Nottingham Emmanuel School advised parents in a letter sent today 30 September 2020.
The letter said that following a positive coronavirus case in Year 10, the school needed to follow Public Health England guidelines and ensure the group were sent home.
Year 10 students will have the same lessons and teachers, but online.
The school remains open and only year 10 is affected.
The school explains that it has taken ‘all necessary steps’ to make the school safe and no other children are affected.
The school said:
‘We have had a confirmed case of Covid 19 in Year 10.
‘Consequently, following government guidelines and in accordance with directions from Public Health England, the year group will be sent home to self-isolate, returning to school on 6th October 2020.
‘The rest of the school remains open as normal to all the other year groups.’
