A1 in Nottinghamshire closed southbound multi-vehicle collision

The A1 in Nottinghamshire is closed southbound between the A57/A614 (Upper Morton) and the B6387 (Elkesley) due to a multi-vehicle collision.

Diversion Route

Road users are advised to follow the below diversion route

  • Exit the A1 southbound at Apleyhead Junction and take the first exit off the new roundabout onto the B6420 Mansfield Road.
  • Continue along the B6420 over the railway crossing to the junction with Old London Road.
  • Turn right (south) onto Old London Road and over the rail crossing to the Jockey Lane Junction.
  • Turn right (west), onto Jockey Lane until Jockey Lane intersects with the A1 and take the A1 south to Elkesley Village.
  • Right turn over the A1 northbound carriageway onto Coalpit Lane, Elkesley.
