The A1 northbound in Lincolnshire remains closed between the A52 (Barrowby) and B6326 (Fernwood) due to a serious collision. Emergency services including Lincolnshire Police are in attendance.
Update: 7:18 am – Road reopened
The road was closed at around 9 pm last night 17 November.
Collision investigation will be taking place and the road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
Diversion route:
Road users are advised to follow the hollow circle diversion symbol on road signs:
- Leave the A1 northbound at Barrowby at turn left onto the A52 heading west.
- Follow the A52 to the roundabout with the A46 at Saxondale and take the 4th exit onto the A46 northbound.
- Continue on the A46 northbound to Newark on Trent and the roundabout with the A1 and rejoin the A1 northbound to continue your journey.
If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.
