The road has since reopened.
The A453 southbound between East Midlands Parkway and the M1 was closed at around 9:15 pm on Saturday 21 November after a forklift lay on its side blocking the carriageway.
Highways England said at the time of the incident:
‘The A453 southbound Parkway to M1 J24 ( A453 Nottingham EastMidlands Airport ) traffic has been temporarily STOPPED due to a forklift truck in the carriageway. Traffic Officers and police are currently at the scene.’
All lanes reopened at approximately 10:45 pm.
