The A46 is closed in both directions between the A57 (Carholme Roundabout) and the B1378 (Skellingthorpe Roundabout).
The closure is because of a collision involving a van and a lorry. There is a large amount of debris and diesel across the carriageway.
Lincolnshire police are in attendance
Delays are likely on approach to the closures, with additional journey times also expected on diversion routes.
Northbound Diversion
Exit at Skellingthorpe roundabout and take the B1378 to Swanpool. Then turn left onto the A1192 towards Lincoln. At Newland turn left onto the A57 to re-join the A46 at Carholme roundabout.
Southbound Diversion
Exit at Carholme roundabout and take the A57 towards Lincoln. At Newland turn right onto the A1192. At the T-junction turn right onto the A1434 (Newark road). Re-join the A46 at Hykeham roundabout.
