The A46 in Nottinghamshire is currently closed southbound between the A606 and the A6006 near Stanton-on-the-Wolds due to a serious collision.
Notts Police said:
‘The A46 southbound has been closed following a serious collision.
Emergency services are on the scene after a single vehicle is reported to have left the road near Kinoulton Bridge.’

Diversion route details and guidance is as follows;
- From A46 Widmerpool junction, take the exit slip road and at the roundabout, take the first exit along the A606 heading south-east.
- Continue on A606 for 9km until a crossroads with Six Hills Lane.
- Turn right (south-west) and follow the road for 6km.
- At the next junction, continue over the crossroads heading south-west along the B676 for 2.2km, until it re-joins the A46 at the Six Hill’s junction.
