The A46 in Leicestershire is closed in both directions between the A606 (near Widmerpool) and A6006 (near Sixhills) due to flooding.

Diversion Routes
‘Road users are advised to follow the below diversion route if heading northbound.
- From the A46 (T) junction , take the exit slip road and at the junction with Hades Lane, turn left.
- At the following junction with the A6006, turn right heading west and follow the A6006 for 7.6 km to the crossroads in Rempstone village.
- Turn right ont toe A60 and head north for 11km .
- At the roundabout with the A52 (T) head east signed Grantham for 14.7 km.
- Re-join the A46 (T) at Saxondale Roundabout.
‘Road users are advised to follow the below diversion route if heading southbound.
- From the A46 (T) Widmerpool junction, take the exit slip road and at the roundabout, take the first exit along the A606 heading south east.
- Continue on A606 for approx. 9 km until a crossroads with Six Hills Lane.
- Turn right (south west) and follow the the road for 6km.
- At the next junction , continue over the crossroads heading south west along the B676 for 2.2 km, until it rejoins the A46 (T) at the Six Hills junction, via the entry slip road.
