Police advise avoiding the area if possible.
National Highways said at 3:41 pm 21 March:
‘Traffic is currently stopped on the A46 southbound between the A6 Wanlip and A5630 near Anstey due to a police-led incident.
‘Delays are beginning to build on approach to the incident.
