The A50 in Derbyshire is closed westbound between the A516 (Hilton) and the A511 (Hatton) due to a serious collision.
Emergency services including Derbyshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on the scene assisting with traffic management.
The closure in place since 3 am this morning is expected to remain in place through the morning rush hour period.
Traffic is being diverted via local routes.
