Engineers are testing the traffic signal phasing.
National Highways said on 25 May:
‘Last weekend, ( 20 May ) we successfully laid the high-friction surfacing and white lining, bringing us a step nearer to completion of the improvements at Gamston.
‘The new traffic signals system we’ve installed on the roundabout is going through a period of optimisation.
‘For safety, we’ve kept the traffic management on during this time.
‘We’re working closely with specialists to ensure the signals work correctly so that once the junction opens for traffic, you’ll benefit from improved traffic flow.
‘We’ve completed phase one of testing and will carry out the second phase on Tuesday 30 May 2023.
‘We thank you for your patience and will keep you updated should there be any significant changes.’
