National Highways will be carrying out essential maintenance work to the emergency diversion route signage on the A52 Nottingham Knight to Queens Drive northbound.
During this scheme of work, new traffic signs will be installed.
National Highways said that once completed, all road users will benefit from pre-determined and risk-assessed diversion routes to avoid unforeseen road closures on the strategic road network.
Work will take place for one night on Monday 17 April and will be carried out between 8 pm and 6 am.
A spokesperson said:
‘To maintain a safe environment for our workforce and customers we will need to fully close the A52 Nottingham Knight to Queens Drive northbound.
‘During the closures fully signed diversion routes will be in place, which have been agreed with the Local Authority.
‘Please accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
‘We’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. We always aim to work to the programme, however, unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes as in this instance. ‘
