Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
A spokesman said: “Nottinghamshire Police were called at 1.39 pm on Wednesday March 4 to the A57 after a report of a crash between a van and a cyclist.
“A man has been taken to hospital by an air ambulance for treatment of injuries not currently believed to be life-threatening.
“The A57 from the A1 roundabout to Sandy Lane roundabout will remain closed until the road has been cleared.”
The A57 near Worksop is closed between Newcastle Avenue and Sandy Lane for the A60 following the crash.
