Trains can’t run until the fault is repaired.
East Midlands Railways said at 5 pm 10 January:
‘There is a fault with the signalling system at Nottingham disrupting our trains on the
‘Nottingham/London, Leicester/Lincoln/Grimsby, Crewe/Derby/Newark, Worksop/Nottingham and Matlock/Nottingham routes.
‘Network Rail has found the fault and continues to carry out repairs.
‘Trains in and out of Nottingham will have to be suspended until the fault has been fixed.
‘Our trains to and from London St Pancras will be diverting to/from Derby not calling at Beeston or Nottingham.
‘Please check journey planners to understand how your journey will be affected.’
Customers travelling between Nottingham, Bulwell and Hucknall are able to use their rail tickets on the NET tram system.
#EMRUpdate: Due to the signalling failure at Nottingham, tickets dated today will be valid to travel tomorrow. Some routes have been suspended for the remainder of the evening.
