NUH has introduced an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) barrier system, with electronic boards at car park entrances to show how many spaces are available.
Your number plate is recorded at the barrier as you drive in.
When you return to your car, you need to enter your registration number into the payment machine, which will calculate how much you owe.
After payment, the barrier will automatically rise as you leave the car park.
You can pay by card in all locations: cash payments are limited to:
- City: maternity, yellow car park, purple car park.
- QMC: tram bridge; EENT entrance (opposite South Block)
Parking charges are as follows:
- 30m – free
- 1hr – £2.00
- 2hr – £4.00
- 4hr – £5.50
- 8hr – £6.50
- 24hr – £8.00
Disabled parking remains free.
During the transition period, our staff will be on hand at each car park to help with any queries.
