A woman had £300 stolen in what is reported to have been an ‘opportunist’ theft.
She had drawn a quantity of money out from the cashpoint in Radford Road, Hyson Green and, believing she had collected everything, turned away from the cashpoint and began to head away.
Suddenly realising that a quantity of cash was still left in the machine, the woman made her way back to the cashpoint a few minutes later, but it was no longer there.
Officers have now released images of a woman they would like speak to who may be able to help with their enquiries into the incident, which happened at around 10.55am on Saturday 27 March 2021.
PC Terri Turner, investigating the incident, said: “A woman has been left short of hundreds of pounds as a result of an opportunist thief who we believe must have brasenly taken the money from the cashpoint in broad daylight.
“We’re committed to investigating such incidents and our enquiries into this continue.
“We’ve released images of a woman we’d like to speak to who we believe may be able to help our investigation, and we urge anyone who recognises her or has any further information to come forward, calling 101 and quoting incident 240 of 27 March 2021.”
