Detectives are determined to catch those responsible and are carrying out a number of lines of inquiry including an extensive CCTV trawl, forensics, and house to house inquiries.

They are also appealing to the public for help especially anyone who knows who committed this robbery or has any dash cam footage.

The first suspect has been described as a white male, between the ages of 18 to 21, slim build with short ginger hair, parted in the middle. He was wearing matching light grey joggers and a light grey jacket and black trainers.

The second suspect has been described as a white male, between the ages of 18 to 21, of a large build, wearing a dark coloured short sleeved t-shirt.

It is believed he was wearing a black Manchester United hat with a red Manchester United logo on the front.

Detective Charlotte Read, who is investigating the incident, said:

“This was an extremely cruel and violent act on an elderly member of our community.

“These men picked on this victim due to her vulnerability and we are determined to ensure these two men are caught and put before the courts.

“As you would expect, this incident has left the victim extremely shaken. She is a lovely woman who is having to face the aftermath of what has happened to her.

“Not only did they use excessive force to push the victim to the ground, but they stole a quantity of cash from her handbag, which she is unlikely to get back.

“To help the public with the location – the victim was walking down the alleyway, which leads from Longdale Road, Nottingham to Mansfield Road, Daybrook.

“This alleyway is between the BP garage and B&M. She was approximately five to 10 metres away from Mansfield Road when the incident occurred.

“We would urge anyone who knows those responsible to please get in touch. It is important that we catch them as soon as possible.

“Do you know someone who matches the descriptions given? Has someone mentioned this incident to you? Do you have any dash-cam, mobile phone or CCTV that may have caught these two men on bikes at the times and locations given?

“We would really like to hear from you. You can also report any information to Crimestoppers which is completely anonymous.”

Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident number 0321 of the 24th June 2025 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
