Officers investigating a series of burglaries at hair salons and nail bars in the West Bridgford area are appealing for the public’s help.
A spokesperson told us:
‘Our enquiries are ongoing into the incidents, which we’re treating as linked, and we’re urging anyone with any information to get in touch.
‘Burglars broke into the Nail Bar in Tudor Square / Davies Road between midnight on Saturday (20 October 2018) and 9.15am on Sunday (21 October 2018). Damage was caused to the front door and window. It is yet to be confirmed if anything was taken.
‘We received a report of a break-in at J&J Hairdressing in Melton Road which happened overnight up to 8.05am on Sunday. Damage was caused to the front door and cash boxes and a small quantity of cash was taken.
‘Burglars broke into The Joshua Tree Salon, Roko Ltd, Wilford Lane, between 7pm on Saturday and 7am on Sunday. The front door was damaged. A till containing a small amount of money was taken.
‘We received a report at 5.47am on Sunday (21 October 2018) of a break-in at Topknot Hair and Beauty in Gordon Road. No items were taken but damage was caused to the shop counter. It happened between 5pm on Saturday and 5.51am on Sunday.
Sergeant Sarah Merrall said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, including reviewing CCTV, and we’ve increased patrols in the town centre to help prevent any further incidents. We’d also urge premises not to leave cash on site overnight and to display signage to this effect.
“We’re urging anyone with any information about the burglaries to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
