A late-night reveller was beaten and robbed as he waited at a bus stop.
Police are appealing for potential witnesses to come forward after the man was targeted in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The victim, aged 22, was waiting near the junction of Mansfield Road and Hucknall Road at around 4am when we was approached by a small group of men and assaulted.
Two mobile phones, a bank card and the victim’s driving licence were taken. One of the suspects is described as having a dark bushy beard.
The victim sustained minor cuts and bruises but was not seriously hurt.
Police are now appealing for potential witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Laura McCullough, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty attack on a young man who was on his way home after a night out.
“We have carried out extensive local enquiries and are now reaching out to members of the public who may have witnessed this incident, which took place near a very busy road junction.
“There is a chance that this incident was witnessed by passing drivers, so if you were in the area at this time and saw anything suspicious we’d like to hear from you as soon as possible.”
