Appeal after man dies following collision involving three army trucks and a lorry on the A38

Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for any drivers with dashcam footage.

Officers investigating a fatal collision on the A38 are appealing for dashcam footage to help with their enquiries.

The incident, which occurred on the northbound stretch of the road close to Mickleover at 1.45pm yesterday (29 September), involved three army trucks and an HGV.

Police said:

‘The driver of the HGV, a 53-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the Queen’s Medical Centre later that same day. His family are aware, and our thoughts are with them at this time.

‘Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for any drivers with dashcam footage, in particular of the moments leading up to the incident, to get in touch.’
