Appeal after one punch leaves victim with fractured skull and hearing loss

PUBLISHED:

Officers are trying to trace this man pictured on CCTV in connection with a single-punch assault which left a 21-year-old man with a fractured skull and hearing loss.

Police said:

‘We would like to speak to the man, who has very distinctive tattoos, about the incident outside Cookie Shake bar in Upper Parliament Street in the city centre, at 1.13am on Saturday 6 October.’

‘The victim was hit in the head and fell to the ground immediately and fell unconscious. He suffered a fractured skull, a blood clot between the skull and brain and hearing loss in his right ear. His attacker fled along Upper Parliament Street.’

‘If you recognise the man pictured, or have any information, please call 101, quoting incident number 49 of 6 October 2018, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’
