Appeal after sexual assault in a Lidl car park

Detectives investigating a sexual assault in Carrington have asked for assistance identifying three men who witnessed the incident.

The assault took place at around 4am on Sunday 18 May in a Lidl car park on Mansfield Road.

It’s believed that three men in the area witnessed the incident and then supported the victim in the aftermath.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw the group, and who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage in the area to get in touch with them immediately as they work to identify them.

Kevin Ndoro, of Whitehill Avenue, Luton, was charged with sexual assault, false imprisonment, and kidnap, and was remanded in custody. The 41-year-old is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday 20 June.

Detective Constable Rebecca Walker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“We take all reports of sexual assaults seriously and I am pleased we have been able to charge a suspect.

“However, these three potential witnesses are integral to our investigation. Even the smallest piece of information could prove vital.

“We urge anyone who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage taken in the Carrington area to call 101 quoting reference 25000287508, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
