Officers are appealing for information after two macaw parrots were reported stolen.
Reports came in that a break-in had taken place at a property in Stillwell Gardens, Worksop, in the early hours of Friday (5 December).
It’s believed that the two parrots – one named Percy, and the other called Polly – were taken after suspects gained entry through a window.
Percy has blue, yellow and green feathers, whilst Polly has red and blue markings with grey feathers on her stomach.
Officers are now appealing for help from the public to help track them down.
PC Alice Braben, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Percy and Polly’s family are understandably very upset about losing their loved pets.
“Macaw parrots need specific care, so their family are anxious to ensure they are safe.
“We also understand that these types of birds are valuable and may be advertised online, so if you spot them for sale, or in an unusual setting, please report it.”
