Police officers release images of two men they would like to speak to after two men were assaulted in separate incidents.
A man was reportedly punched after it’s believed a group got out of a car in South Sherwood Street, Nottingham city centre, and approached him.
Around an hour later, another man was left with a broken jaw as well as cuts and bruises after a reported assault in Stoney Street, Nottingham city centre, where he is also believed to have been punched.
The two men received medical treatment for their injuries and have since been recovering.
Officers investigating the two incidents, which happened at around 12.50am and 1.50am respectively on Sunday 17 October 2021, have now released images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents.
Detective Constable Jessica Poynter, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have been conducting thorough enquiries and working to understand the circumstances around these incidents, which we are treating as linked.
“This includes speaking to and arresting two other men, aged 19 and 21, on suspicion of assault. The 19-year-old has been released pending further enquiries and the 21-year-old has been released on conditional bail.
“As our investigation continues, we are now asking anyone who recognises the men in the photographs to come forward and speak to us. We believe they may have important information which could really assist us with our enquiries.
We would also ask anyone who might have been around at the time of these incidents, or who may have further information, to get in touch.”
