The road has reopened after offal caused the road to be closed yesterday afternoon.
Rushcliffe Police said:
‘At approximately 5pm on Tuesday 14 July, an unknown heavy goods vehicle shed its load, spilling animal offal across the junction of Grantham Road (A52) and Nottingham Road in Radcliffe-on-Trent, near to the RSPCA building.
‘This has caused the road surface to become greasy and hazardous for road users. As a result, Nottinghamshire Police and National Highways have closed the road while a clean up operation is carried out.
‘We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident or who can provide details of the vehicle involved. We are also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage.
‘Please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident reference 0576_14072026.’
