Appeal after windows smashed in West Bridgford shop raid

Police are appealing for the public’s help after two men are believed to have broken into a shop.

Officers investigating the incident, which happened in Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, at around 4:10am on Friday 24 September 2021.

When officers arrived, they saw that the window had been smashed in and the till area had been searched with an unknown quantity of cigarettes and alcohol taken.

The two suspects are reported to have fled on a motorbike just before police arrived.

Anyone with information or dash-cam footage is now being urged to come forward to help with the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Gary Hewson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It is totally unacceptable that someone would do this, and we are committed to finding those responsible.

“Not only has this incident had a financial impact on the business but it is also incredibly worrying for the owner and other staff members that work there.

“We are now urging anyone who may have any information that could help our investigation to come forward.”
