Appeal after woman pedestrian seriously injured in collision with Mercedes car in Nottingham

Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a woman was seriously injured following a crash.

Officers were called to Linnell Street, St Ann’s, Nottingham, around 9am on Tuesday (25 November) after reports a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a car.

The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car, a white Mercedes, stopped at the scene and has given an account to officers.

Investigators now want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments leading to it.

Detective Constable Emma Temple, of the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“This collision occurred on a city road at a busy time of the day.

“We believe there will be a number of witnesses who may have seen the vehicle involved, a white Mercedes, or the pedestrian who was injured in the moments before the incident.

“If you can help, and have not yet spoken to an officer, please get in touch without delay.

“Likewise, any drivers who were in the area around this time should please get in touch if they have any relevant dashcam footage which could assist.”
