Appeal for witnesses after assault near a Nottingham college

Officers investigating a report of assault outside a city college are appealing for information, witnesses and dashcam footage of the incident.

Police were called to Mansfield Road at around 4pm on 16 March 2020 after a report of man assaulting a woman in the street.

The man is described as black, around 6 foot tall and is thought to have been wearing a black leather jacket at the time of the incident.

He is believed to have assaulted a woman who was carrying a Lidl shopping bag.

Police Constable Terri Turner, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Violent crime has no place in our city and we will investigate all reports made to us thoroughly.“I’m appealing for anyone who may have information or dashcam footage that could aid our investigation to get in touch via 101 quoting incident number 570 of 16 March 2020.”
