Appeal: Man killed in suspected hit-and-run collision in Rushcliffe

Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian was killed in a suspected hit and run incident.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was struck by a vehicle in Park Lane, Sutton Bonington, shortly after 10pm on Saturday 30 October 2021.

Unfortunately due to his injuries the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers believe the vehicle involved left the scene immediately after the incident.

Extensive house-to-house enquires are taking place and officers would like to speak with anyone who may have additional information about what happened.

Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone with CCTV cameras,  and also to drivers who may have seen a vehicle leaving the area or recorded it on a dashcam.

Sergeant Sarah Stables, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is a shocking incident in which a man has tragically lost his lost his life.

“We are working hard to find the vehicle and driver involved and would like to speak to anyone who may have additional information about what happened.

“Your information may be the vital clue that leads us to a suspect in this case, so if you do have information please contact 101 quoting incident 806 of 30 October 2021.”
