A fleeing suspect was chased across a park and detained by a police dog.
Officers were on patrol in the Forest Fields area of Nottingham shortly after midnight on Wednesday 30 July when a car failed to stop.
After a short pursuit involving an armed response vehicle, the car was abandoned in Leslie Road and multiple suspects fled the scene.
Police Dog Reno and his handler arrived moments later and – after a brief pursuit – detained a 21-year-old man in the Forest Recreation Ground.
With help from an authorised firearms officer (AFO) the suspect was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

Inspector Tim Ringer, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was another excellent result for our dog unit, which provides a unique service to the public and to fellow officers.
“Our dogs are ideal for detaining suspects in situations like these, because – regardless of how fast they may be – they will never outrun a general-purpose police dog.”
Reno, a German Shepherd, is one of the most experienced dogs at Nottinghamshire Police and has previously represented the force at national trials.
