Police have arrested multiple suspects following reports of people carrying knives.
Officers were called to Southchurch Drive, Clifton, after a group were reportedly seen in the area with weapons.
It is understood that a number of people involved were carrying knives during the incident at around 8.45pm on Sunday (8 May 2022).
Nobody is believed to have been injured at this stage and enquiries are still ongoing to establish exactly what happened.
Firearms and response officers, police dogs and drones were all deployed to the scene within minutes of the incident being reported.
Eleven suspects have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
This includes ten boys, aged between 14 and 17, as well as a 19-year-old woman.
They all remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Daniel Johnstone, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was an extremely serious incident that put people at risk of harm and will have no doubt been very unpleasant for the local community.
“It really should go without saying but there is absolutely no excuse for anyone to ever carry a knife out onto the street, as it is dangerous, both for the person in possession of the weapon and also those around them.
“We have arrested multiple people in connection with this incident.
“Although our enquiries are very much still ongoing, we’d ask anyone who has any information that might be able to help us to contact us immediately.”
Anyone with any information or who witnessed what happened is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 778 of 8 May 2022.
