A 13-year-old girl was reportedly threatened that she should withdraw cash from an ATM as she walked her dog – a 15-year-old boy has been arrested.
The girl was approached by a youth in Radcliffe-on-Trent and who demanded that she went to a cash machine with him.
The offender was believed to be carrying a sharp object but left empty handed shortly after the incident at 7.30pm on Thursday 7 July.
Officers attended and a teenager was arrested nearby.
He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.Detective Constable Rich Kinsey, said: “Incidents like this are extremely concerning and we take them incredibly seriously.
“We don’t want anyone to be threatened or to feel scared when out walking and our response officers were instantly on scene to track down a suspect.
“We have been working with the local neighbourhood team and residents can expect to see an increased police presence over the coming days.
