Officers acted quickly to arrest two people in connection with a report of a crash involving a car, a pedestrian and a dog.
Police were called to Carnarvon Place, Bingham, at around 7am this morning after a man and a dog has been injured in the collision.
The man has been taken to hospital for treatment of injuries, the extent of which are unclear at the moment, however, they are not currently believed to be life-threatening. The dog has been taken to a nearby vets for treatment.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision in connection with the incident.
Inspector Andy Wright, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers acted to quickly to arrest two people in connection with this incident and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
“It is thought that the car may have been involved in other collisions prior to the crash involving the man and the dog.
“I am now appealing to anyone who may have seen something, have information or dash cam footage to get in touch with Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 106 of 22 September 2020.”
Carnarvon Place was closed while the officers conducted their enquiries.
