Arrest after boy pushed off E-scooter in Sneinton

Police investigating a report of a boy being pushed off an E-Scooter quickly made arrest in connection with the incident.

Nottinghamshire Police was called to Newark Crescent in Sneinton at around 6.30pm last night when a 13-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted before a group took his scooter.

Officers quickly identified and arrested a 15-year-old boy believed to be linked to the investigation.

The boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a bladed article after a knife was recovered.

He was also arrested in connection with a report of a knifepoint robbery in Glasshouse Street on 2 October 2020.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police is committed to tackling robbery and will investigate all reports thoroughly.

“This would have undoubtedly been a very scary incident for the young victim and we are working with them to make sure they feel supported.

“Officers did an excellent job to quickly make an arrest as part of our investigation and we are now working to establish the circumstances of both incidents.“
