Police acted quickly to arrest a 32-year-old man moments later on suspicion of criminal damage.

Inspector Simon Riley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers are dedicated to serving and protecting the public.

“To throw a brick through the window of a police car is not only disrespectful, but incredibly dangerous.

“It could have caused serious injury to an officer or a member of the public had the brick caused the driver to crash.

“Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident and we are now working to establish what happened.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could aid officers, please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 94 of 17 October 2020.
