Police arrested a suspect following reports of a man exposing himself in Nottingham city centre.
Officers were called to Old Market Square shortly after 7pm on Monday (31 August) after a man was spotted riding an e-scooter while exposing himself.
It was reported the man also urinated at a tram stop before boarding a tram and travelling to Radford, where officers detained him.
The 68-year-old was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and taken into custody.
During a search, officers found a quantity of cannabis and so he was further arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug.
Chief Inspector Kylie Davies, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Everyone has the right to feel safe when visiting our city centre and that is why we take reports such as this extremely seriously.
“Thanks to the prompt actions of officers, a suspect has been arrested and remains the subject of an ongoing investigation.
“We remain committed to tackling behaviour that causes alarm, harassment or distress in our communities.”
