A man remains in police custody and is being questioned on suspicion of burglary and possession of cannabis.

Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas said: “Swift action from our response teams led to a quick arrest and the investigation is now being led by the city’s dedicated burglary team.

“Burglary can have a devastating impact on the victims and the thought of someone entering their home, where they should feel safe, can be really unsettling.

“Nottinghamshire Police recognises this impact and has dedicated burglary teams covering the city and the county whose focus is on catching offenders and reducing this type of crime. Burglary is reducing in Nottinghamshire and we are committed to keeping that trend going.”
