Arrest after serious assault in St Ann’s

PUBLISHED:

Police have arrested a man in connection with a serious assault in St Ann’s yesterday morning (Saturday 5 October 2019).

The 23-year-old was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody.

It comes after a man, aged in his 40s, was found with serious facial injuries outside a property on Conway Close just after 4am yesterday.

He was taken to hospital with injuries not currently believed to be life-threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A 24-year-old woman previously arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent has been released under investigation.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 138 of 5 October 2019.
