A suspect has been arrested after a scuffle led to a man being stabbed in the leg.
Officers attended Kelso Gardens, The Meadows, shortly after 2.20pm on Thursday 5 May, to break up a fight and found the victim with a small stab wound.
After intervening officers arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a blade in a public place and attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has since been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
The victim’s injuries are believed to be minor and not life-altering or life-threatening.
Sergeant Rob Palethorpe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our officers were quick to attend this incident and break up an alleged disagreement.
“Thankfully the victim’s injuries were minor, and he did not require any hospital treatment.
“We’ve repeatedly said that the use of weapons on our streets will never be tolerated and that is why officers, in this case, attended within minutes of receiving the report and arrested a man in connection with the disturbance.
“Our enquiries into what happened are still ongoing so I would ask anyone with any information to come forward and speak to us.”
