Arrest after stolen off-road bike involved in collision

Two people were arrested after police were called to a collision involving an off-road motorbike that had been reported stolen.

Officers were called to Rivergreen, Clifton, shortly after 3am when the bike was in a collision with a car that had reportedly been driven in pursuit.

An 18 year-old man, reported to have been riding the bike, was arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury and was later released on bail.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation.

Detective Constable Chelsea Levers, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are still working to understand exactly what happened during this incident and would like to speak to any additional witnesses.

“Two suspects have been taken into custody and have now been released on bail and under investigation. Anyone with further information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 53 of 11 May.”
