Officers have made an arrest after a woman was allegedly hit in the face with a candle burner.
Police were called to reports that a fight was underway in Musters Road, West Bridgford, and were quickly on scene.
It is believed the woman was hit with a ceramic candle burner during the dispute and she was taken to hospital for her injuries. However, they are not thought to be life threatening or altering.
A suspect had fled from the scene before officers arrived but they later tracked a car to Nottingham Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and drink-driving following the incident at around 4:10 am on Saturday 15 January 2022.
She remains in custody.
Sergeant Brett Price, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This type of behaviour is something we will not tolerate and could have very easily caused devastating injuries.
“Thankfully the victim is recovering but this incident has undoubtably left her shaken. Officers are continuing to offer their support.
“Thanks to efforts of officers, a suspect was located and arrested following the incident, and she remains in custody. We would however reassure people that we believe those thought to be involved are known to each other and that there is no wider risk.
