Police say several members of the public contacted them.
Police said:
‘On Wednesday 17 May, officers from the Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood team and Response attended Carnarvon Place in Bingham after numerous calls to police regarding a male with a knife.
‘The male was immediately apprehended and arrested for a number of offences including affray, possession of a bladed article in a public place and multiple assaults on police officers.
‘The male is currently still in custody whilst the investigation continues.’
