Arrests after car linked to vehicle thefts stopped in Nottingham

Police arrested four people after spotting a car that was linked to an ongoing investigation into vehicle thefts.

Officers stopped the BMW in Lenton Boulevard, Nottingham, shortly after 8.30pm last night after spotting it in nearby Derby Road.

They searched the car and found tools, gloves and masks.

All four occupants – a 27-year-old woman and three men aged 17, 18 and 33 – were subsequently arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and conspiracy to steal.

Detective Constable Ben Grayson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our patrol teams are always on the look-out for wanted suspects and vehicles and will always act on anything they’re suspicious about.
